Joan is currently in the studio hard at work on a brand new project that will showcase some of her favorite cover tunes. She picked songs that were particularly influential to her when she was learning her craft. Joan plays all of the instruments on this new project!

To say that Joan Burton is a professional singer/musician with over 15 years experience only tells part of the story. Joan's vocal ability is nothing short of stunning. She is blessed with an incredible range and flawless control. Her intensely passionate delivery makes her a stand-out in any setting. Combine this with her uncanny ability on guitar and piano she is the perfect musical tour de force.
Originally from Rochester, N.Y., Joan performed in a wide variety of acts, most notably an all original act The Joan Burton Band. Working steadily in the upstate New York area she and the band received both critical and popular acclaim. While working on her CD "Only a Moment Away" she had the opportunity to work with Starship's legendary guitarist Craig Chaquico. Her latest CD has her teaming up with Lou Gramm of Foreigner, who co-wrote a song with Joan and produced 3 tracks on the CD. Joan also had the opportunity to appear with Emerson, Lake, and Palmer's Greg Lake and Richard Marx at the 11th annual Adam Walsh dinner to benefit the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children. Joan relocated to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina in 2001 to escape the frigid winters of the Northeast.
Upon her arrival in Myrtle Beach, Joan set out to establish herself as a solo performer. She found immediate acceptance by audiences throughout the area. Her engaging style and her approach to the cover material in her repertoire make her a favorite on the Grand Strand.
Joan has an ever evolving song list with over 200 selections, most of which are in the classic rock/pop and folk style. Joan's desire to please her audience makes her an instant hit. She is comfortable playing in any setting, whether it be an intimate dining area or a 20,000 seat arena. Joan is one of the most engaging and unaffected performers you are ever likely to find.
